Bidding Farewell To Rainbow Leaves...

~The wind~ blown leaves turn...
Dancing the golden sunlight
across the tired floor.
~Matt Dimmic

~Come said the wind to
the leaves one day,
Come o're the meadows
and we will play.
Put on your dresses
scarlett and gold,
For summer is gone
and the day grows cold.

~A children's song of the 1880's

~ Listen ....
with faint dry sound,
like steps of passing ghosts,
the leaves, frost~crisp'd, break free
from the tree's and fall.

~Adelaide Crapsey(1878-1914)
November Night

~My heart is a garden tired with Autumn,
...in the hazy sunshine, the garden
remember's April...
...The gardens will be hushed with snow,
forgotten soon, forgotten~~
after the stillness, will spring come again...?
~Sara Teasedale, The Garden

Hmmmm I wonder if your Cowboys and our Patriots will be squaring off in the playoffs this year! =)

Stunning photos as always. I love that dear little acorn. Like a little Frenchman wearing a beret!

Hi Cat loved the old words you chose to go with this post *!*
Have you heard of Migaloo the White Humpback whale? His name means White Fella and he and his mates are in need of some help, hope you get chance to fly over and have a read about them *!*

The wind is calling our leaves as well Cat.. The trees at the back of me are now almost bare, but other seem to be holding on a bit longer.
I liked the 1880's children song?poem..
Thanks also for your support and continued visits... I look forward to sharing and swopping lots more pictures and stuff with you.

We must have had a big wind in the night or the trees were so cold they shivered. Most of the remaining leaves were piled around the base of the trees this morning!

The leafs are playing on the ground here now. Whirling. After dancing in the air...
Wishing you a nice week. :)
Hugs.

What beautiful colours on offer in your part of the world and so beautifully captured by your camera. So nice to see the cute little acorn...there's not many of these here. I've always had a fascination with them.
A great week to you Cat,
Angela.

Hi Cat--
It's surely been a beautiful Fall in your part of the world.
Beautiful shots, and nicely paired with the quotes... I've been enjoying browsing through the recent days on your blog.
Thanks, Lisa B
