Cat, this post is stunning ... a lovely way to start the week. I'm a bit envious ... my camera was stolen over the weekend and I'm so sad :( BIG HUGS!

Catherine, what wonderful shots. They looked good on the RSS reader, but when I went to your site, they were stunning!!!

Hello Catherine,
love your wonderful pictures, very colourful and vibrant.
About butterflies..
In nature a repulsive caterpillar turns into a lovely butterfly.
But with humans it is the other way around:
a lovely butterfly turns into a repulsive caterpillar.

I love the butterfly. A great spangled fritillary I think. My father gave me a butterfly identification book:)

WOW Cat, these photos are superb....as usual. I love to see the deer photos as we don't have them here in Australia. I always think how strange it would be to live in another country and see a completely different set of wild animals.
Anyhow, I'm off to garden....this is what happens when I look at your beautiful site. AND, the day is like a spring day today even though it's still officially winter. Happiness to you Cat, Angela.

I see I am visiting a master of close-ups! That is a difficult art.

I really enjoyed the flowers and butterfly but must admit the stag blew me away. I have never seen anything like that in or near my garden!
