Snow,Clouds, Ice, & Full moon...

~Bare branches of each tree
on this chilly January morn
look so cold so forlorn.
Gray skies dip ever so low
left from yesterday's dusting of snow...

I agree about the collage of the moon.. I made one myself this week but not posted it.
We still have had no snow or proper ice, in fact I can not remember seeing 'Good icicles for years now.

I came across this poem, I hope you like it as it goes with your beautiful Ice shots.

Mount Toby, Spring Thaw
By Wally Swist

The trickle of melting ice
catches in the basin beneath the culvert,
flows ledge to ledge, then descends

the stony bed worn between the banks
of the gorge. Run off flashes
along the shoot of the frozen falls-

the thaw of the brook pausing
across a long table of snow-encrusted rock
before it tumbles over the rim of another.

The sluice slides down the doglegs
of ice, spills ribbons of water that plunge
through the beams of sunlight illuminating

each pool, and where, mid-mountain,
I stop to watch the rippling
water shadow silver the mossy cliffs.
.............................

I think it says so much about the ice views that I'm missing here in the UK.. we did get plenty when I was younger.
Have a great weekend

I have fixed a cup of Turkish coffee and am visiting! Catching up with my friends from far away places while others are getting ready for the super bowl.
We both spent time with the full moon! She is so beautiful and this series of photgraphs of the moon with the branches is very nice.
I enjoyed my Sunday visit. Hope you have a wonderful February.
