~May!

~May! Queen of blossoms,
And fullfilling flowers...
~Lord Edward Thurlow

~Everything is blossoming most recklessly;
If it were voices instead of colors,
There would be an unbelievable shrieking
Into the heart of night.
~Rainer Maria Rilke

~The world's favorite season is the Spring.
All things seem possible in May.
~Edwin Way Teale

~ Iris
~May and June. Soft syllables,
Gentle names for the two best months
in the gardening year; cool, misty
mornings gently burned away with a
warming spring sun , followed by breezy
afternoons and chilly nights.

I love the combo of fleabane and fuchsia (at least that's what I think they are!). One's so formal and bright, one informal and pale, and yet they look keen together!

And... what camera do you use for close-ups? Mine is lacking in macro features! Thanks!

The colours are amazing. Purples are one of my favorites in nature and blues are not bad either.

Hi Cat, Gorgeous photos!! April and May are such beautiful months in the garden, filled with such promise of what is to come. May especially, things are really blooming and looking beautiful. Also, no bug problems yet, no super hot weather...just beautiful growth .

A very nice collage of flower photos (and the little cute rabbit or hare sitting in it!). I love the poems of Rilke, he is my favourite poet.
